TWO CONFERENCES IN USA

I gave two talks at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami on February 19-20th, 2016. The first talk was about "Treatment of Dry Eye and Clinical Investigation of Optive Fusion" at the VIII. State of Art International Meeting that was organized by the Allergan. The second talk was about "Corneal Wound Healing & Epi-off Corneal Cross-linking" at the PanCornea meeting that was organized by Pan-American Cornea Society. 

I'd like to thank all of my colleagues who attended the meetings from Latin American counties and both the executive board members of Allergan and Pan-American Cornea Society for organizing these two great meetings.

YENİ BİR KİTAP BÖLÜMÜ

Dr. Gül Yalçın Çakmaklı, Prof. Dr. Rana Karabudak ve Dr. Gürdal Şahin'in editörlüğünü yaptıkları "Beynimiz Nasıl Çalışır?" isimli kitap henüz basıldı. Çocuklarımız için hazırlanan bu kitapta, ben de "Nasıl Görürüz?" başlıklı bölümde, çocuklarımıza görme duyumuzu onların anlayabileceği şekilde özetlemeye çalıştım. Emeği geçen herkese ve özellikle daveti için sevgili dostum Dr. Gürdal Sahin'e çok teşekkür ediyorum. Çocuklarımızın beynimizin nasıl çalıştığını anlamasında yardımcı olacağını düşündüğüm bu kitabı tüm ailelere öneriyorum.

PRESENTATION AT AAO MEETING

I presented final results of our recent study entitled "A New Matrix Therapy Agent (CACICOL20) for Faster Corneal Healing Following Epi-off Crosslinking With Ultraviolet A and Riboflavin" at the meeting of American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) in Las Vegas.

INVITATION TO EYE & CONTACT LENS: SCIENCE AND CLINICAL PRACTICE

As of today, I've joined the editorial board of the "Eye and Contact Lens: Science and Clinical Practice" on invitation by the editor-in-chief Prof. Penny Asbell. 

Eye and Contact Lens which is the journal of the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists (CLAO), includes contact lenses, refractive surgery, cornea, ocular surface disease, glaucoma, and related anterior segment subjects.

1 Haziran 2015 tarihi itibariyle Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, Texas Eyaleti, Houston şehrinde bulunan Baylor College of Medicine'da göreve başlamış bulunmaktayım. Buradaki görevim tahmini olarak 9 ay sürecek. Ancak 3 ayda bir Türkiye'ye gelecek ve 1 hafta süre ile Erciyes Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı'nda hasta muayenesi yapacağım.
